I picked up a Mustang LX from a guy for what I thought was a great price. Had been sitting for a while but that didnt bother me. I looked it over inside and checked out the engine. Ran great. Has around 45,000 on it. So I look it over better when I get home and underneath the car is pretty rusted out. Floor pans, strut towers, and sub frame all bad. I posted it up on cl to be parted out but I have had a few people tell me that its fixable. Didnt want to dump a bunch of money into. It does have pretty low miles on it and my plans were to garage it for the winter and drop a v8 in it. So now im torn between parting it out and putting money into it.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

Pics would be helpful in a decision. and is it 45,000 or 145,000 or even 245,000 miles.

its a rusty beast but i work at a salvage yard and could get some body panels pretty cheap. shes pretty rough but has low miles and i was thinking i got a great deal until i seen the underneath of the car.

so i sold this car for more than what i paid for it but took some of the interior and other parts out of it. the guy only wanted certain parts so i made out pretty good. all the other parts are going on craigslist for sale.
