WHITE SVO
I have a 1986 svo with a fuel flow problem. It has 40,000 miles and has been stored since 2004.It is driven 5 miles a month. The last time I started it,it idled for a few seconds and then died.It would start only if you sprayed it,then die.I am and old carb and points guy and know nothing about injected computer cars.I was told it was the fuel pump so I installed a new pump, strainer and inline filter. No change.I bypassed the inertia switch and no change.I installed a new relay and now it will start and idle and will rev if you depress slowly but as soon as you stab it,it cuts out.If I drive it in 2nd gear and slowly rev,it will run o.k. until it hits 3000 rpm and then it starts stalling and bucking.Slowly lift your foot and it smooths out.I have read in the forum of mustangs with 2 fuel pumps. The pump I installed was in the tank so if there is another one I sure can't find it.Another fuel filter hidden somewhere?Being as you almost have to pull the engine to change plugs,it's possible they are original. The car always ran perfectly before.PLEASE HELP!!!!!
