Default rear end swap?
Will the 96-98 gt rear end fit a 93 2.3 fox body?

79-04 rear axles will bolt in as they have the same mounting setup. only difference is the 94-98 have longer axles for the disc brakes and 99-04 have longer axle tubes and axles due to wider boby

Oh ok. Thanks. I think I am going to stick with the 7.5 for now and just dd the car for a while.

Also depending on what gears you have currently you may just want to swap out axles and brakes and keep your housing. I know my 91 came with 3.45 gears and most 94-04 rears came with either 2.73 or 3.27 gear.

yes, most have 28 spline axles and a few came with 31 spline.
