Default blown head gasket

Hello fellow mustang enthusiasts! I recently purchased my 93 lx 2.3 with a blown head gasket. There is water in the oil and it is pretty bad.... My question is, can I just drain the oil. Maybe "wash" out the block with oil and take off the head to replace the gasket? Im trying not to lose anymore money than I have to. Thanks for your time and any comment will be highly appreciated!

Just drain all the oil and coolant and replace the head gasket. You should be able to pull the head without pulling the block out of the car

Make sure that the head isn't warped.
