Default Speaker upgrade.. suggestions

I'm looking into replacing the speakers in my 91 Hatch. Any suggestions for brands? What has worked out best for you. I don't mind spending money for the good stuff.

Thanks..

But since its here I would go with an Alpine system. I got four 6" Mids and two 2 1/2" tweaters and then I got the two big *** 12" woofers.

And I think it sounds preety good.

^^ I also like Bostons. They sound great. Why dont you just go somewhere that sells the speakers.... Im sure they have an audio room where you can listen to different speakers. Do you have a tweeter around you ???

Anyone ever built a subbox that goes into the spare tire well, of course without the spare in there? I saw one in a mag a longtime ago, but can remeber the name.

i got boston acoustics, two 5x8s, 3.5 inchs in tha doors and then tweeters in tha dash. they sound pretty good, no distortion until tha amps can't give em enough juice. if i did it again though i'd go with alpine type r's. my sub box is tha whole hatch, it it inside the spare tire well then about 9 inches up from the top of the spare tire well.
