I got a 93 cluster and I swaped it, the plugs look the same but i come to find out that my tach wont work, if I pull the high beam lever back it turns on the fuel pump like when you turn the key to on. and the instrument lights are on when I turn on the car and turn off i i turn on the lights. Now is there a way to make it work cuz im thinking of disecting my old cluster and try to reroute the wires or something. any advice will help.

bc the clusters are different. 90-93 have a different cluster bc of the airbag and from 87-89 there is a different cluster w/o an airbag

I dont mean to change the topic but will a 89+ dash fit in a 88. I really hope so becuase I have a 89+ dash that I have in mint condition but I've had people tell me that it wont fit and I've had people tell me that it will... any thoughts?

yeah it will fit you will have to use some of your old peices if you have a non airbag steering wheel

is the air bag the only thing thats different cuz im thinking that the way the wires are ruoted into the same plugs have to be different, cuz more than the air bag light is going haywire in there! has anybody done something to make this work cuz i really like the look of the stock cluster instead of the white inserts. thanx..

it can work if you move the pins in the connector to the right spot on the cluster. I've seen a diagram on how to change this somewhere...
