Default intake torque sequence

i am confused about the 5.0 intake torque sequence, i am installing a cobra intake and the only torque sequences i have found are these

its close to the bottom of the page

after the head torque sequence

link #3

yet another

even my chiltons manual says thats the proper torque sequence

altho i have always been told its the from the center out and criss crossed(and verified today by several ford technicians)

as in

9 5 1 3 7 11
----towards the radiator--->
12 6 4 2 8 10

which is it bc i am hearing two different things and they are completly different. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wanted to get some other opinions before i started taking things apart again.

This is the correct torque pattern for the manifold. You had it right, I know many more people will say different things, it doesn't get much torque anyway, something like 35 ft. lbs. so just make sure you get them all snug, work from the middle out. Hope I could be of some help!

those that you found and above ^^^^ should be correct. Going from the center out probably wouldn't hurt anything, but that's the sequence for heads.....
