I am a gear head and unforunately not much of a body tech. but I have to slam the crap out of my doors to get them to close all the way, and I was wondeing if you guys had any suggestions. its a 93 fox.

Are the plastic sleeves still on the striker bolts? (Assuming '93 still has striker bolts, my '90 does and I had to replace them on both sides). If not, then go to the Help parts section in your local store and get new sleaves or a new striker bolt. If yes, then try loosening the bolt, and reseting it's position. If there is any up/down play in the door when it's open, you probably need new hinge pins also.

Sounds like the pin bushings are toast not uncommon. You will need to cut the old pins set new bushings and drive new pins in. Not to hard of a fix. The weight of the door over time is the major problem

just go to a stang site and pick up a door hinge repair kit. i had to do that for my 92 and it worked out good. 25.00 at www.50resto.com
