my son called me today and said that someone has broken off something in my key switch on my coupe. when i got home it looks like a key is broken off inside the key switch. i live in a really nice neighborhood, normally dont worry about locking it up, guess i will from now on.
really ticks me off, cant believe someone would try and do that in my own driveway. now i have to figure out how to get the broken key out of the switch, any suggestions. thanks.

try a strong magnet to see if you can get it out that way, or you can get a new ignition switch which isnt hard to relace and its not expensive

how do you remove the switch from the column? thanks.

take the plactics off around the colum and right where the ignition switch is, under it there is 2 small dowel indents (might be one but i forget )and put something in there and put pressure on it and turn the key like your going to turn it on and it should pull out. now since theres a different key broke off in side im unshure if that will work or not but give it a shot

cant u just take the cylinder out?

needle nose plyers may help depending how far its in there
