definately 3.73's, but it will kill your gas mileage (as if it was that great before anyway). You'll have to change your speedometer gear. . . I think it was the red one. .. 21 or 23 tooth. You'll be at around 2100 RPM's at 60 MPH instead of 1600. I go about 120-130 miles before i have to refill now. But even 5th gear pulls on the highway and mine's mostly stock besides the gears and the headers/full exhaust.

it all depends on what tranny you got if youve got a auto 4.10 are definetly the way to go, ive got 4.10s in my 88 and theyre awesome, but if youve got a manual 3.73s are always good, i bought my car with the gears already installed so i cant tell you the difference between stock and 4.10s, but i will tell the 4.10s are the best investment for an upgrade you can get for your auto Stang

I agree, auto 4:10, 5speed 3:73.. I have 3:73 in my 88 vert and I love em.. And it still gets 23MPG on the HWY... It might hurt your MPG by like 2 miles.

There was a thread about this a few days ago. You might want to look to see what others have to say as well. It's dependant on what you are planning for the car and what trans is in it.
