245,000miles

I have (its about time) my 10 hole aluminum wheel replacement. The problem is that it is pretty nasty looking. Some pitting on the outside and thick brake dust crusted on the inside. The other three wheels are absolutly spotless and would feel a little odd about the fourth looking like dung. Does anybody here have any suggestions on a decent cleaning procedure? Have you cleaned some old wheels and what was your outcome?

Simple green and those nylon brushes they use for cleaning aquarium hoses.



Spray with water, soak in SImple Green Automotive, scrub, rinse, and dry.



Same procedure's great for removing that blue die they put on new tires.
