Default cruizing rpm

this is prolly a dumb question, but its my first car and i dont really know what rpm to cruiz at. i get terrible gas milage when i just baby my car arround.
So what rpm should i cruise at on the highway and stuff?

keep it on OD

do 65

dont speed

if u get bad gas mileage, change ur fuel filter and do a tune up

OD or 5th..dunno what tranny you have. 65 is where I got my best MPG as well. I was around 25 MPG with stock gears and a 5 speed.

I try to stay between, 2000 - 2500 RPM When im driving in the city I try to stay in fourth even in fifth.

On the freeway I try not to go above 75- 80MPH My RMP or will be at around 2800.

alright, cause ive been stayin around 1800-2500 rpm and my gas milage is crap.

You may just need a tune up..... Spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, oil change, air filter change, etc.....

Truthfully, even on the freeway, i only get about 12-15 miles to the gallon. My cam and 3.73 gears dont help. But if this is your everyday car and your reeally concerned with gas mileage im not sure what to say. They are not a hybrid.
