Painting Tip Anyone?

RE: Painting Tip Anyone?
I would'nt spray with single stage, especially if the rest of my car is two stage. It'll have a slightly different look to it and it tends to crack easier.
Practice on something else first, or you can even practice on the bumper and keep sanding it down. Do some prep work and wetsand/buff (? maybe, i don't know if it works on single stage)
Also, see if you can spray it off of the car.

I'm sure you know but don't forget to add the flex agent to the paint. Those plastic bumpers will flex and cause spiderweb cracks if you don't add it. I would imagine acrylic enamel will be fine but learn from others mistakes before you begin (MINE) If you paint outside make sure it's in a protected area. The slightest breeze will ruin the job and you'll have dry spots. If your painting inside ensure you have AMPLE LIGHTING and ventalation. If lighting is poor you just might find light spots once you bring it out in the sun but be careful with fumes and hot lights, that's a recipe for disaster. good luck

If your painting your bumper ask the paint shop if they have any
special paint for bumpers that is made to flex a little more.
Pretty sure they make stuff like that. Ah just saw moparman said same
And yeah stick with a 2 stage paint. 1 stage paints are more for
industrial and recerational applications ( boats, bulldozers, ATV's )
Also...... Overspray travel ALOT farther than you think.
Try and cover the entire car and anyother near-by cars. including your neighbors
