How Fast?

How Fast?
Hey all, I just purchased a set of 15x8, and 15x3.5" Weld Draglite wheels. Right now, I have street tires with absolutely no tread left on them whatsoever, they are extremely bald. With these tires on my 16" Pony's I went mid 13's. When I get my new wheels on, I am putting a set of 255/60R16 M/T Drag Radials and 165/60R15 skinny's up front.
With the tires, I will be able to launch at a considerable RPM in stead of going from idle and spinning to 1/2 track, plus weight loss, etc. What can I expect for gains in times in the 1/4? I have heard that the tires alone could drop me 1 full second, and with weightloss and the skinny's up front I don't see why I cant hit a 12.9???
What do you think? Are 12's possible?

RE: How Fast?
4k is better than 1k! LOL... How do they do from the 1-2 shift and 2-3? When I go from 1-2 I spin for about 15+ft, and spin 2-3 a couple feet too, will DR's get rid of the wheel spin on shifts?
Reason I ask so many Q's are because I am contemplating getting ET streets, but I drive the car quite regularly on the street, and realize they are not as practical as radials, so I want to know how they will perform.

RE: How Fast?
use ponys as DD. use the welds for track only!!!!! do it once and get ET streets. the DRs from M/T are great and hook well but like any radial they weigh more then a typical ET street. also look to see maybe 5k in miles topsfrom those tires. also skinnies arent the best for DD
and for the time cut. rule of thumb
.10 60' = .20 off ET
do the math

Yes I realize that the skinnies arent good for DD, and they will be on mostly for the months that we go to the track. I have my 03 Ram for my DD anyway. The Pony's will go back on for the winter months.
As for my 60ft. I dont know what to expect. I have never got under 2.07 and that was when it was stock! I have been running on street tires since I got the car, and since I built it, 2.2 - 2.3 is as good as my 60ft. gets. What should I expect from my car with the shocks and struts? 1.8? 1.7? In that case I would be running about a 12.8 ET. So 12's could be possible? I cannot wait!
