ok they have a 331 forged stroker, gt 40 aluminum heads, trickflow intake 1.6 rr, no smog, no egr, no ac, full exhaust with lt's, 70mm tb, #24 injectors, MAS calibrated for 24's, CAI, sct chip and dyno tune motor is new as well. does neone have ne idea why it only put 280 to the wheels?

what cam do you have? but i say 280 to 300 hp is about right with that set up

he has a trickflow stage 1 or 2 i think

i think he said like 10.1 and thats exactly what i thought about the horsepower being low i thought it would be about 320 at least

Sounds to me like he could be losing some backpressure. Is he using a standard trans? Clutch could be slipping also. 280 is a little low.

Yeah that does seem to be pretty low output. I'm building a 347 with about 10.4:1 and hope it puts out more than that.

Something's got to be restricting that engine. Intake, exhaust, etc...

Is the throttle opening all the way?

280 to the wheels through an AOD tranny may be a tad soft but very close to what you should have. Through a 5 spd manual it would be soft on the HP for sure.
