I assume that means you do not have receiver grooves.
A receiver groove in the head allows use of a head gasket that has like a metal o-ring that gets compressed in the groove. This is about as good as it gets to stop head gasket leaks.
I may have some info from one of my gaskets, if so I will put it up in a few.

oh i know what your talking about...kinda like o-ringing the heads?..
my rpms had that...guess what they freak'n leaked on me....copper.

Check this out, this is what I use on my 347 with 15# of boost and my 306 with 12# of boost. No head gasket issues so far.
