HEATER CORE HELP!
 

Hey guys,

Do you guys know where I can get a new heater core setup thats decently priced? My core fogs up like crazy, I mean completely and I can't see anything at all. So i need my defroster to work and it doesn't, I get no hot air at all. The "defroster lines" or whatever that are in the rear windshield are broken, so those don't help at all either.

heater cores are like 35 bones....it's the labor that costs.

put it in yourself it will cost about $400+ for a garage to do it

Any autoparts store will have it for around 35$ its just one piece- looks like a mini radiator you can hold in your hands

Yeah I asked for a quote on intallation and thats what they said... Would anyone here have a manual that could tell me how to get to it? i know the dash has to come out, but how far up in there do I get....a manual would help alot I think.

I'm gonna check pep boys for it..I'm gonna call right now actually.

hey i had to do my heater core... i did it my self and let me tell you if you do it yourself make sure you have the time b/c i had no clue what to do and it took me about 12 hours to do it. i took my time and did it right the first time. but trust me its so nice to be able to have heat and say i did it my self and all for 35 for bux. what i had to do was take my whole dash out. o ya all of it. it sucked but message me if ur gonna do it ur self and ill tell u how i did it. good luck

I'm doing my heater core tonight. Should be lots of fun :D I already have the dash out and everything though so it should be cake work. Also, I baught my heater core yesterday from Advanced Auto. The heater core for AC was $38 and w/ out AC was $32.

Any chance you can tell me how you're doing it 88?
How much of the dash needs to come out and where do you start from? I already bought the heater core, need the coolant still....any idea if I'm gonna need to buy some hoses or zip ties or hose clamps???
