Default 8.8 rear
when did they put the 8.8 rear in the fox bodies because i have a 7.5 and there is a 86 sitting in the junk yard and if its a 8.8 im going ot take it and put it in mine

its always been 8.8 in a v8 model, right? 7.5 is in the 4 cyl. is yours a 4 or 8?

no i got a 5.0 but its a 84 so it had the 7.5 they upgraded sometime after 84 i think it was 85 but im not sure

oh. im mistaken then. i thought even older...wait i think they did go to 7.5 for awile in the later 70's and i think they went back in like 85. i know the 86 v8 will have it.

I have an 85 Gt and i have the 8.8 in it. that was the first year they started adding it in to the cars for good. so anything 85 and after.
