Default compression question

hey im wondering whats a good compression ratio for a street car that will be drivin a ton and whats the highest compression you can go off pump gas?

so you are going to be all engine right? High compression engines dont like boost

I HAVE 10.1 IN MY MOTOR AND RUNS FINE ON HIGH TEST.NOW IF YU PUT IN LOW TEST FUEL IN RUNS LIKE SH*T. MOTORS STARTS PINGING AND ALL SORTS OF OTHER SH*T

on a street driven car I wouldnt go higher then 10:1 compression

It's not pushing it, you just have to run a higher octane fuel.

What is the altitude where you are planning on runnig it? What cam are you planning on using? Are you going with EFI or carb?
Need to know these things before you can ever worry about compression..........
