It'll give you a little extra pick me up. 15* at most. You will need a timing light.

Depends on where it is set now. Mine was set at 6* when I bought it, so I think I may have gained twenty hp by bumping it up to 12*. LOL. Seriously, before--at 6 degrees--the tires would spin half way through first gear from full throttle. Now, they spin ALL THE WAY through first, with 3/4 throttle . At any rate, if you would, let us know what you set it to (and from), and whether you can feel the difference. Good luck.

Pro50, can you really run 15* on a stock car? I may try bumping mine up a little more, but I'm not so sure with this California gas--91 octane for premium.

Should be able to. Of coarse there are things to factor into it. Grade of gas, altitude where you are, temp where you are. Things like that. Just keep bumpin' it until it starts to ping and then back off a hair. Use a timing light though. No guess work here.

No doubt. Thanks--I may try it.

One more question--and I don't feel like I'm post-jacking because 1990MustangLX may be wondering too. Short of predetonation (pinging), is there any reason why NOT to advance timing?

if you go back to a thread i started awhile back about setting timing a guy left me a link to click on and showed me step by step.. you should back up and see if you can find it because if have to unplug the spout connector, its like a small chip. its near the passenger side control arm on my 95 but the link shows where its at on a fox. if you dont know what a timing light is yod better take it to a local shop though seriously!!!
