My 1995 Gt has a problem with the engine light coming on when you press the gas and accelerate hard. it only stays on for a couple of seconds and goes back off. What could cause this.

do you have a K&n filter.check the mass air flow sensor?? sometimes those things have to much oil on themit probably doesnt store in the computer.... ther eis a few things it could be but thats what i would start with

could be a number of things...... o2 sensors,cats,tps sensor,mass air flow. I had the same problem w/ my 95 gt... i started with the o2 sensors.because i was changing the pipes.i didnt work. then i changed the tps it didnt work.... last i changed the mass air flow and it worked....... start like i did with the cheapest and work your way up..

its most likely ur gas cap cuz i hav the same problem just tighten the cap like 4 clicks nd ur good i tell the gas station people to make sure the cap is tight
but i would order a new gas cap

You should still have codes stored, have you tried pulling them.
