Default Transmission

I have an 81 mustang and it use to have a 2.3 liter in it but i am swapping it to a 5.0. Well right know it is a 4 speed and i was wondering how hard it would be to swap to a 5 speed.

Yeah its not hard, i had the srod junk before and the bellhousings are different. I bougt a blowproof bh, but if your not having hard power then dont worry about it. Also depending in the crossmember, it needs to be the double hump for the dual exhaust crossmember...dont let anyone tell you different, i did mine. The input shafts are the same and the pilot bearing is the same...i recomend replacing it though. Let me know if you have any ? im all up for helping.
