Default Water pump help

Hey everybody. I am installing a summit water pump on my 86 5.0. Are there any special tools or pullers required? Also how hard is it? Any tips, tricks, or run-throughs would be greatly appriciated.

Yea, and dont get the bolts mixed up. For some reason Ford though it would be a cool idea to make the bolts all different lengths

the job is easy i installed a summit racing pump just last month in my 95 302 you may have to jack the front end up for those tight bolts and also if its the factory pump from back in 86 and the pump's been leaking for awhile the bolts ford installed sucked and may have rusted in place and will be a bitch to get completly out may need a hand torch to loosen them up but if not easy 30- 60 min. project good luck

It took me roughly 30 minutes to change mine. Put sealant on the block side and put the gasket on the block first so it doesn't move while your mounting the water pump, its a very easy project, shouldn't take long at all.
