because I run a 70mm tb and a stock maf right now, I lost a good bit of top end which I expected...
why would you expect to loose top end with a larger TB? Loosing bottom end performance(low end torque) is what can be expected with a large TB

sry but not to be an *** but it seams no one ever reads the whole post. im asking about the maf being smaller than the TB. the TB has not changed. I swapped my 80 mm maf for my stocker because the 24's I had in the motor were to much. so as I say again will a maf that is smaller than the TB hurt performance. because I have hesitation problems, and I lost top end after I put the stock maf on, in theory this is true because you are restricting the incoming air. but I can not figure out my low rpm hesitation.

HAHA I know why do they want to be with someone that runs 4 and 6 cyl when they can have a man that runs 8 or larger, I will say I like the sound of a 8cyl, I hate the sound of a 10 cyl, and I would do anything to listen to a 12 cyl everyday. I want a ferrari 575 maranello what a car.

I have a question I dunno if anyone can answer it but I figured I would ask. If you have a Maf that is to small aka smaller than your tb how will the motor react to it? because I run a 70mm tb and a stock maf right now, I lost a good bit of top end which I expected but my throttle response sucks ***** now
You asked a question in theory, therefore it would lead us to believe that you didn't change your maf yet. You state that you run a 70 mm tb with a stock maf, and lost top end, making it seem like you lost top end after you changed to a 70 mm tb. If you would have put

I swapped my 80 mm maf for my stocker
in, it wouldn't have been as confusing. I thought the same thing he did. So therefore no need for

sry but not to be an *** but it seams no one ever reads the whole post

edit* I felt like you were kinda getting snappy, so I had to defend the guy

i'd say that stock maf would hurt performance, it cant flow the air
that a tb of that size needs

thanks ikeybmg. Marx91 my main problem is I have a low rpm hesitation, and my throttle response sucks now. I don't know if you saw my post the other day but I asked the same question and got 0 response. I think since the Maf is smaller than the TB the Maf is not letting enough air into the intake tube and the motor is sucking more air then the Maf can calibrate fuel for and that is giving me my hesitation. I dunno that's why I asked. ricepatrol I did not ask a question in theory I stated it.
