Default Timing?

on my 86 mustang when i set the timing to like 14 deg advance my car on acc will run like crap but when i go to like 18-22 i runs perfict so im wondering if the car is a tooth off or the balancer was a pos and im thinking that it could have spun or somthing dumb like that but the car has some wierd stuff done to it so im wondering if its somthing the last guy could have done to it

hi , well first u should probly check your timing chain i know its alot of work just to get to it but if u are that high in timing something is wrong, mine wont even run past 16 degrees so

that's all good the motor was just done not too long ago it runs fine i just think that it might be a tooth off

yeah but it runs fine but i know they can be 180 off and run but a huge lack of power
