have you dynoed your car? what rpms was peak power? you might be better off with 275/50 instead of 60. 26" tire might be better for your car. i went 28" gause i needed to bring rpms down. i trap at 5500 on spray and peak power was at 4600. your peak power might be 5500

what wheels are you using and is your car lowered?

i just took off my quad shocks (after i upgraded the upper and lower control arms). They tuck in nicely, i dont know if it will work with the stock tailpipes, I am running dumps that stop right in front of the differential. I have no problem with the 275/60/15's with some wheel spacers you can fit some 285 or 295s in there then you might have to roll the fenders to get those to tuck in without damaging the tire.
Hey I was wondering, I drive this car on the street, will those 275's rub going around corners??? Need to know, thinking about ordering tomorrow morning.

No I have never dyno'd it, but I cross the finish line at 5800 RPM that's with a 225/55/16. I am hoping to bring that down just a couple hundred RPM with these new tires. I took your advise, and I ordered 275/50/15.... We'll see how it goes, oh and you never answered my question about the rubbing issue. Thanks for all your help guys.
5800 RPM is 104mph, I plan to keep or make my trap speed faster with these tires, at a lower RPM. Tires should be here thurs. and I will post pics when I get them mounted.

my 275/60 needed a good bit of 5# sledge work to get them not to scrub.

I love watching your video's, that car launches hard. Before my next trip to the track, I will be installing new up/low control arms, 90/10 struts, and sub frame connectors. I hope to pull off at least a 1.8 60ft. We'll see...

goto bottom of page to the top speed calculator. it says 4.10's with 26" tires = 109mph@5800rpms which i ran 11.9@109 most people run mid to low 12's@109
