Default help with strokers

i was thinkin about my engine buildup while searchin through summit today and i found that i could actually make a 331 stroker for $600 instead of buying a kit for $1300 because i will be buying an engine rebuild kit whick includes bearing, pistons, etc. and there would be no point in buying pistons if i need to turn around and sell them anyways. i started punching numbers and some of the number were a little weird.

so here is the question- are the pistons in a 331 stroker the same as the pistons for a 306??

moose- yes you need to bore it to get the full 331. all kits come with .030 over pistons, so you need to bore it unless you get differant pistons. if you dont bore it it will give you 327 cid.

hotrod- by "building my own" i want to choose my own parts for the kit. i can actually save money by picking out the parts myself
