get the fords they are good. the manufactur is always the best, oil filters, gears, anything even if you have to pay more an aftermarket oil filter is not designed just for your ride you know.

well as far as some things thats true. but filters as far as oil you should always go with the manufacture, and the gears are a good deal to cause ford should know thier cars

Ford gears because noone knows the rearend any better than the designer itself. Also Ford machines there gear sets almost no variances like others manufactures.

yea thats what i meant. we took a new set of spiders for a 93 cobra this guy gave me. they was a good quality set though i ended up with like 75 dollars in a completly rebuilt rearend. thats where we packed the shims, not the ones on the pinion. but what a deal, i gave the dude like 25 dollars just as a good samaritan and gave 50 for the richmond 3:73 gears a guy had bought and not used, man that seems like a good deal to me,he he they were all to heck when i rebuilt it now its been tough for about 4 years. i love it!!

lol no, thats deff not true, if your gears are that tight, that means they will generate a lot of heat. when the gears get that hot, they expande yet making the mesh tighter. the tighter the gears the more of a performance decrese it is. gears are ment to be set up a certin way with a certin ammount of backlash. do your gears wine? if you want your posi to work better you just need to rebuild it, and shove an extra shim in there
