Looking 4 a Mustang?
Next sat im going to look 4 a foxbody, wanting a late 80's or early 90's. I plan on spending 5700$ for one and looking at auto trader i can find a nice one 4 that. I just have a few questions. Was the engines pretty reliable? how much power did they put out? Is the tranny strong? Is the rear possie? Also im not sure but there are some mustangs that look like it has a body kit stock, what years was those and what trim? I have a early 80's mustang in my auto class and the top speed says 85, was all years like this? My name is Devon and i appreciate all the info you can give.

well condition of the car will tell u what it can/cannot do and what it's been through.
for $5700 you should be buying a stang that needs nothing at all and everything should be in perfectly working condition with low miles (if its stock)
the stock 302 EFI motor is capable of 140+ mph

Yeah if that car runs 10's I'm running 8's. There is no way that thing is running 10's. No nitrous, no boost, and not even amount of displacement. Yeah, call me sceptic but I say No way in hell that thing saw 10's. Plus theres no cage. And maybe I missed it but I don't think he did any bracing either.

RE: Looking 4 a Mustang?
go with a 89-92 they have mass air and forged pistons
p.s. the 5-speeds are durable for street use the autos are prone to problems but a good updated rebuild can make a very durable auto.
