400 rwhp

RE: 400 rwhp
Not off of a 302 I dont think so... a 347 might be able to get into the high 300's. But a 302..... I dont know. If you run a 347, high compression, 185's, big cam, etc. you will see high 3's. (IMO) You might want to talk to FullAuto... If I can remember correctly, I believe I seen him post something (about a week ago) about him running 400RWHP off of 347's. Ask him what his combo was...

RE: 400 rwhp
I just found this on the thecorral.net.
The combo is a 327, 10.2:1 compression, afr 185's box stock, with new valves, springs, etc. it has a custom cam, ported rpm 2 intake, 42# injectors, 70mm tb, 90mm maf, fenderwall cai for now, under drive pullies, 1 5/8 long tubes, dr. gas xpipe, mac pro dumps.
we still have some tunning to do as the a/f is rich all the way across the board. i bet we can get 375rwhp out of it no problem.
Right now it makes 362 rwhp, 365rwtq 12.0:1 a/f
Still more tunning to go. Get ready for some sick n2o numbers come april.
^^ Just thought that I would share with you.

RE: 400 rwhp
you should be able to reach your goal of 400. pull the motor out, bore it, put all forged internals, gerdal, buy a nice cam head and intake combo, it should make it close to 400 if not more, depending on compression. stock 302 blocks will hold 450 to 500 ok, anything after that and you have to worry. our race car has 720 at crank and 584 to tires on a 302 block. we have just nbeen short shifting. all it taskes is a little time and money and anything is possible
