Default whats this noise

Whenever i take off a rapid ticking noise on the passanger side. I tightened all of my header bolts. Could it be a lifter? ITs sooo annoying. Especially if i put it in 5th gear at a low speed. Tick tick tick tick tick

94 gt old motor, new headers, been known to blow a header gasket. 135 thousand miles. But doesnt sound like a header gasket. Stock 302, no internal work.

could be a lifter, could be something smaller or bigger, only thing to do would be to jack it up or something give it some gas and try to track the noise.

yeah, starting to belive its a lifter, i put a stetohscope on the valve cover, and its coming from the rear of the engine, so im probably guessing a lifter.

probably, it was prob dogged out, thats the only thing i could figure why its going bad, either that or the person didnt do routine maintence, no telling thats the only thing about buying a mustang from somebody else, you never know how they ragged it or anything. i had alot of issues with mine when i first got it but ive fixed majority of them. my cars idling like crap but im not gonna bother adjusting it now then having to do it again tuesday when my CAI fenderwell mount comes in. and how hard is it to install a fenderwell mount? just out of curiousity, ive never did it before.

Its not bad at all. Hardest part was getting the pipe to fit over the throttle body. Also connecting the filter to the intake through the fender wall.
