Default Intake price good?

hey guys, i have someone who will sell me a Gt40e upper/lower intake manifold with 65mmtb. It is off a 97 explorer so has egr provisions? I have no idea what this means. What work would I need to do to put this on my otherwise stock 88 5.0? I havi speed density b/c i havent had the money to convet to MAF. I needed some bodywork done. lol. And how is $125 for it? Thanks. Matt

should be a direct blot on. is it the upper and lower intake? if its both for 125 buy it immediatly! the usually run 200-250

its ok he forgives you. lol. will i need to plug up any holes on this or reroute any hoses to get this to run? also i think i read i wil have trouble upgrading my intake with speed density still, is this true? thanks again for the help. Matt

i know thats not true.

Speed density is fine and can be just as good as MAF during you minor mod stage (u should get a tune with it) upgrade to MAF once you get some more mods (opinion).

I know there was one year of that intake that you had to plug something up, but I forgot which one, try doing a search. IM sure you will get some more replies to this thread today.

that's a steal on that intake if it's for the U & L! My lower was $125. I don't know if you'll be able to use that TB, though. I've been told you have to rig some things to make the Exploder TB work on a stang.

^^ Not sure if thats true or not... BUT if it is than just take the 150 dollars that you are saving and buy a throttle body.
