Is that the transmission that you need a shorter driveshaft for?
I don't know if that would matter.

in the 94-up cars you need a driveshaft spacer. Did you use the GM synchromesh to fill the trans? Do you have an adjustable clutch cable?

It sounds to me like you are not getting enough air gap in the clutch when you depress the pedal. Does the car pull away when you let the pedal up as soon as the pedal leaves the floor or does it engage and the car move when you get the pedal near the top of its resting position? It sounds like the clutch is not fully disengaging and preventing the tranny from shifting smoothly. If it engages close to the floor of the car you should install a RAM clutch cable, quick release quadrant, and fire wall brace kit. This will give you two adjustments. One at the bell housing clych fork area. and the other at the fire wall. I run this on my car and it brings the clutch engagement up high near the top of pedal travel. This allows full clutch disengagement and makes for smooth shifting.

i have a new alum shaft coming so ill order the spacer because i dont have it on there yet. i think its a 3/8ths spacer i need to use. yea the clutch lets out right in the floor. i thought about the clutch not engageing too because i can feel the car hop when i start it with the clutch all the way dowm sometimes. someone told me before thaqt i should be using a clutch fork from a 867-93 model. has anybody heard that?

i had this problem initially when i got the tremec put in, with a spec clutch, pro 50 shifter, and aluminum driveshaft. the clutch had to be pressed all the way to the floor or it would grind every time going into first or reverse. i asked around about it, and found that it was probably jsut the cluch cable needing adjusting. the cable on there was a non adjustable, so we just put a washer in there as a spacer, and afterwards it would shift much easier, no more grindage. its been a couple months since that and no problems since.

I hope you used the 85-93 clutch fork! If not that could be a probelm. When you install a tremec that is something you have to do.
