adjust TV cable forwards or backwards???

I can't remember but I think to raise shift points minutely you adjust it back, but just a little bit, is this correct?

to raise shift points, pull it towards the front of the car. but just a little.

realize that this will run your tranny hotter so make sure you have a good cooler.
