ok thanks! and ive got one more question... how exactly did you apply the screen to the tube? and i think ill wait until tomorrow to rotate the MAF... it was 66* F yesterday and now its down to 34* F! its just too damn cold outside!!!
LOL! Yeah we got the same thing goin on here. Just cut a piece a little bigger than the inlet. Press fit it so the edges are down over the outside of the meter and slip on the tube and clamp it down. I actually used a small cv boot clamp to attach mine so it stays in place permanently. You can do it either way.

Ok, when it is installed in the cai, start rotating it in one direction until you have acheived the best idle/drivability the car can run. Then just leave it there.

ok, but there are stops on the MAF that keep me from rotating it more than about 2*.

What do you maen by stops. I'm not talking about the sensor itself, I mean the complete meter(housing) The electrical portion bolts in one way only. If that's what you mean?

LOL! Nice paint work. No need to disconnect the battery. And yes, rotate the meter housing in the rubber connectors.

by clocking the meter, he means to rotate it a little.

leave the sensor in there, and just loosen the clamps that hold the inlet tubes on,
then turn the housing so the electronic part is not on top.
because of the cold air kit the air velocity will be changed, the c&l maf isnt made for CAI's.
mine works fine, but some people have trouble with them.

when you put the sample tube in, the smaller opening side faces towards the air filter.
when I got mine someone put the tube in backwards and it ran like crap.
I turned it around and I gained 1.5 seconds in the quarter.
