Lifters..

Can someone please tell me what lifters are and what they do exacley?

the camshaft hits these guys and they push on the pushrods which push on the rocker arms then the valves open

How many miles on your motor? The lifters that 1991_5.0 ^^^ is selling are what you want. I'd replace them since you've got it cracked open anyway.

The car has 124,xxx miles on the motor.. I ordered a Rebuild kit from summit. Me and a few friends are doing it.
