Default GT40 or GT40P heads

Hi, I've read up on these heads and just can't understand why people buy GT40 heads, sure if you were running boost or something I could see it, but other than that, why do they sell for so much more than the P heads? The P heads have higher compression and the plug is closer to the center of the combustion chamber (not sure if the 40's have that aswell) leading to more power all around. Haven't been able to get flow specs on the P's but im assuming they're all about the same. So why is it that the GT40's cost more and more people buy them over the GT40P's? Is there something im missing here...? Because I've been looking for a set of P heads for a few months now..

yea the p heads need special exhaust headers which cost a bit more than norm headers. they need special one b/c the spark plug location has changed and a normal header wont clear the plugs

Actually, BBK unequal shorties fit the P heads as well as Ford's shorty's. Here's some links to look at:
