I've got at weird engine problem. The engine is very weak at low rpm's, you can't (even softly) release the clutch, from a standstill, without applying gas. I changed the sparkplugs and distributor parts, they really needed to be changed too. And the engine seemed fine, how ever after about an hour of cruising(nothing hard just relaxing in the sun kind of cruise) the problem came back. I've changed oil, small change to the better. Changed airfilter, PVC valve, small change to the better. Cleaned the MAF, small change to the better again... Probably did something else too, can't remember right now. After everytime it went back to bad.

It's a 1990 Mustang 5.0, manual transmission.

Anyone has any tips at all would be greatly appreciated!

I'm thinking computer or some sensor thing, seeing as it seems to "correct" itself to the worse? Also worth noting that it didn't pass inspection because of faulty exhaust emissions.

Did you try resetting the computer?

I don't think I've reseted the ECU. I searched on how to do that and there seems to be as many variations as there are cars outthere. But they all seem to have in common that you need to Idle for 2-5 minutes after having disconnected the battery for some length of time. Is that really needed? If so I havn't reset the ECU.

I have actually changed the fuel filter, don't think there was much of diffrence.
