any feedback, im thinking of getting one but would like feedback from people who have or had one if the sacrifice is that great or worth it for that matter.

It is a nice piece. I run one but more so to get all the power I can to the tires and because I take my engine in my street car up to 7400 RPM. It turns a little harder (effort at the steering wheel) when you are stopped but otherwise when driving it is a good feeling unit. You will want the rack shaft too as it will eliminate the spongy feeling rag joint at the rack pinion and give you a better feel when driving. Once you get used to a manual rack set up you will be fine. I like mine, and I have (2) 5.0 mustangs one with power steering and one with manual steering. I don't find much difference between the two. Others may not agree.

^^ I am also getting the Flaming River kit. I've heard that it makes steering a little more difficult at low speeds but once you get the car moving it feels great... especially on the highway.
