They aren't on backwards, he only a a few on. That is just the style of those wires, but they don't like header heat much though...

WTH aha yeah dude you got the wires that go on the sparkplug on the dist. Change that and also make sure the wires do not touch or come close to the manifold. Here are some of my pics on how the taylor wires should look installed on the dist.

They are on backwards, I have the exact same wires. Those are THE wires for 5.0 Mustangs, because of that end, they avoid the headers nicely, 130 degree bend. just flip your wires around and they'll be good

Sorry guy but you have to swap those wires. Take the end that you have on the Dizzy and put that end on the plugs.
