Default blowing the brains out of my car

aka making my car a targa top. has neone done this? i think it would be something nice to have. would i still be able to launch hard? would it be a way to save on weight for my sn95? i am seriously considering this.

oh yea i want to use my car for a street strip car

i've seen a kit in muscle mustangs for a targa in the 99+ stangs, it might include sn95's but to tell you the truth it didnt include foxbodies so i payed no attention.
You would need to add a rollcage or some kind of reinforcement to tie the a and c pillars together.
it's a bomb idea though, me i dont have a/c so i'd be happy with a sunroof.

I'd do some good research on over all body and critical member strength before chopping it. It may be as simple as looking into how differently the chassis is put together on a convertable and doing some similar strengthening to your Targa. If you do it correctly, you'll save a little weight, but not much because you'll definately want to make the car as rigid (AND SAFE) as it was before you severed the top.
