Default still have that damn idle problem!

ok, so i scanned my car. this is what came up.

31- EVP circuit is below minimum voltage
41- HEGO sensor circuit indicates system lean (right HEGO)
41(c)- No HEGO switching detected (right HEGO)
66- MAF sensor input is less than self test minimum
91- HEGO sensor circuit indicates system lean (left HEGO)

which one of these is most likely causing my SUPER rough idle. i already explained but i will again for those of you who dont know. my idle will stay at 750, then drop to about 500, catch itself, jump back up, and keep doing that over and over until it stalls. its driving my nuts because i am always worrying that it will stall at a red light. its just irritating.

do you have a vaccum leak somewhere? that would explane the idle issue and the lean issue.

according to my auto teacher, using carb cleaner to clean is what cause the code for the MAF. i just dont think the MAF is it, because after 1300rpm, the car runs fine, including during WOT.

which one?? All of them! They are all contributing. I would start by checking for vacuum leaks using carb cleaner, brake cleaner or ether. Fix those if there are any. Then replace both O2's. If it still gives a problem. Try unpluging your MAF and then try to run the car. If it runs better it's prolly you MAF or it's the MAF circuit.

The EVAP code prolly won't be causing a prob. but don't quote me on that. Good luck!

when i unplug my MAF, the car stalls immediately. are there any common vacuum lines that may cause this problem?

Did you try restarting the car after you unplugged the maf. The computer should go into a Speed density mode when unplugging the MAF.

no i didnt try that. do you mean reset the computer or just restart the car? would it be safe to drive around with the MAF unplugged?
