J 85 GT

ok so my friend ran into some family problems and was forced to sell his mustang, so i picked it up for 1,000$. body is really raunchy but we've put a ton of suspension **** on that car, rebuilt posi and 3.90 gear and tons of other **** so decided to buy it and part it out but use the trans for my car.

the trans is a Tremec, he was told when he bought the car it was a 3550. i know its a tremec because i pulled the motor today and sure enough trans is brand spanking new and all over it it sais "tremec". im trying to find out where i can run some numbers that i got off of it and find out exactly what trans it is. hopefully its not just a tremec t5.
does anyone know how i can go about doing this? i have some numbers i found on it: 13-52-066-939
or does anyone have any tips on some specific markings that can justify which trans it is?

This is a quote from someone else, so I guess it's heresay, but here it is anyway...

I took this from a 1999 article in Super Ford mag...

"While all T5 transmissions have "XXX" as the last three digits of the ID number, the middle three digits "000" identify World-Class and Non-World_Class transmissions. The World-Class trannies (1352-000-XXX) will be one of the following: 114-116; 126; 134; 141; 155; 162; 165; 167-169; 174-177; 184; 194-200; 202-205; or 207. The middle three digits of the Non-World-Class trannies (1352-000-XXX) will be any other sequence. Note that this ID is for trannies up to '92. Any digits higher than 208 indicate trannies built after '92. "
