Default throttle body coolant lines

I notice in all the magazines, that a majority of the people have disconnected their coolant lines running to the throttle body spacers. What is the benfit of this? Most of these cars are supercharged. I have a vortech on mine and wondering if it helps anything like lower heat temp in the throttle body since there is no hot coolant passing through.

Actually the collant running through it keeps it cooler. I have a blown application and mine are still hooked up.
