Default gear question ( haven't heard this about a million times huh )

yeah sorry, I searched and didn't see anything..

89 mustang 5.0 , 5 speed.

I have a set of 3:73's. I've been told to get 4:10's and that I'd like them better. But I want to keeep my top speed and still be able to drive it on the highway without being at a high rpm and a low speed.

should I just put the 3:73's in or sell or trade them off for 4:10's.

so basically I want a gear that will riiiip off the line and then allow me to keep a good top speed and not such a high rpm at high speeds on the highway.

thanks.
