sounds like head gasket

similar thing happend on my monte carlo except there was no water in the oil but i blew the thermostat and it sent coolant shooting down my tail pipes (white smoke)

was racing an s2000 and won
Would a blown head gastket lead to water in the oil?

really depends on how bad its leaking, i wouldn't doubt it but still hard to determine.

i thought i blew my headgasket when i saw the white smoke. infact i was sure the motor was blown or damaged badly. i had it towed to my mechanic and he said all that was broken was the thermostat (cracked) and it sent coolant EVERYWHERE. i mean everywhere... when i opened the hood, coolant was dripping from the heat shield and i even got some on me.

course i was going around 130mph when it happend...

anyway goodluck man. if you can't figure out get a second pair of eyes over there with you. i think your best bet would be to start unbolting and check the heads/gaskets

Do cylinder leak test to check for head gasket leak. If all is okay on leakage test, then most likely intake gasket.
Do this with a leak down tester?

you could use a block tester wich is a chemical test to check for carbon monoxide in the cooling system. the fluid in the tester will change from blue to yellow if there is a head gasket leak.

Was the head gaskets the lock wire set? Its hard to tell from description on what you have. If so are the heads machined for them to accept the gasket.
