I have a 91' LX 5.0 and my friend told me it has a sport package, what usaully comes with the sport package?
Also what size stock axle does my car probably have?

Im not too familiar with this stuff but I didnt think that the LX came with a sport package? Also, the stock axles are 28 spline (I think)

I dont think the sport package included anything special mechanically

I think it was more of an interior option package, ie. better seats and that kinda stuff

The police version were the only ones that had any kinda power upgrades
and they really just had stuff like oil coolers and the like.

I always thought that the GT was basically the sport package of an LX

gt and lx have same motor and tranny options

auto's could be ordered with 3.27's

Thanks for the help. Ya thats what i thought about the sport package, but i do have an auto tranny cooler?
Do you think my axle is a 8.8 inch?

Yes you have 8" axle, 7.5 were in the older 86-87 models.


There is no difference between LX and GT other than body moldings
