Set me straight guys....
Well I have minor things planed but for the big picture what should I do....
keep her n/a with a cam and heads = $2,000
or
BLow it, Vortech S-trim= $3,000
The vortech seems like it would be ALOT easier, ive heard the 5 liter cobras PC doesnt like after market cams... keep in mind its a DD and cant have constant problems..what would be the best thing I could do

RE: Set me straight guys....
the s/c will appreciate the heads and cam done first and you
will see more performance from the s/c with the better heads.
Stock heads flow like shyt. Like trying to blow thru a coffee stir straw

RE: Set me straight guys....
I voted SC because like state earlier you have a better set of heads and a cam in there so it would be better to get the SC. Also nothing can replace the whine of a SC.

I say supercharge it. My 89 with a BONE STOCK MOTOR was running 13psi on 93 octane. It was dynoed at 396 Hp and 412 ft lbs. You will NEVER get that out of heads and cam alone. As far as suspension you will need to upgrade if you plan on racing but axles are not needed. I learned quick about the tranny also, I had to replace my AOD within 2 weeks because I would nail it while it was in drive or overdrive so it would down**** and would pull like hell. But there also wasn't enough fluid pressure to engage the clutches so they would slip and eventually burn it up. A T-5 will hold up fine, just watch out for that 2nd to 3rd speed shift, it will getcha evertime.
