Default Exhaust n’ Tire problem

In the rear of my 89 LX Notch I have 245/50 16's and they are pretty big. My problem is my exhaust tail pipes

are rubbing on the inside of the tire. I really don't want to bend my brand new MAC 2.5in chrome pipes either.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Thanks, Joe

get 3/8's wheel spacers if you don't mind your rears sticking out a little further.

Hack an inch or two off of the pipes right before a bend. Re-attach. This will cause the pipes to be slightly more underneath the car, but also more towards the center.

And who put on your freaking exhaust anyway? To bend the pipe to rub the tires......oye.

Do you think by cranking the exhaust hangers in towards the gas tank on both sides would do the trick??
