He was goosing it, of course they may be some black smoke... the "smoke" you noticed on the left tail is just hot are being introduced into cold air.

how does it sound under load? with my setup it sounds 100 times better when accelerating, as opposed to just revving. i cant imagine how good it sounds accelerating. good job!
